Type Locality: Australia, Tasmania.
Vernacular Names: White-footed Dunnart.
Synonyms: Sminthopsis ferruginifrons (Gould 1854) ; Sminthopsis leucogenys Higgins and Petterd 1883 ; Sminthopsis mitchelli (Krefft 1867) .
Distribution: S and SE Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales, and Queensland ( Australia).
Conservation: IUCN – Data Deficient. Common?.
Discussion: S. murina species-group. See Archer (1979:329, 1981:102).
