Diagnosis.

Liphistius can be distinguished from all other liphistiid genera by the male palp that possesses a tibial apophysis ( Fig. 4D, E View Figure 4 ), and by the presence of a poreplate and a median receptacular cluster in female genitalia ( Figs 3 B–E View Figure 3 , 5 A–F View Figure 5 ).
