Discussion: Placed in Neofelis by Pocock (1917 a), Weigel (1961), Hemmer (1978), and Kratochvíl (1982 c). Groves (1982 a) placed in Panthera . Synonyms allocated according to Ellerman and Morrison-Scott (1951).
