Material.?, Colombia, Cuming Colln: BMNH Acc. no. 1829; New Granada: ZMUZ 511684 [not seen]. Venezuela. Amazonas (records in Breure 2009); Aragua, path to Rico Periquito, Estación Biológica Rancho Grande, leg./ 1956: UMMZ 208416; Caracas D.F., Tacagua, Marcuzzi leg./1948: USNM 592896.?, “ Venezuela:” CMC C10888–10889, CMC C10993–10994, UMMZ 146776 (J. Ford leg.).

Remarks. To our knowledge, this taxon is confined to the Cordillera de la Costa in Venezuela and eastwards. The records from “ Colombia ” and “ New Granada ” must thus be treated with suspicion. We consider this a Venezuelan species.
