Canthidium ovale Boucomont, 1928b: 204 [here transferred to the subgenus Neocanthidium ]. Type locality: Brazil: Goiás: Jataí, and Paraguay (“Paraguay-Brésil, Goyaz: Jatahy”). Type material: Unknown number of syntypes ( MNHN). Distribution: Brazil and Paraguay (Martínez & Halffter 1986a).
