Treatment

Canthidium impressum Boucomont, 1928b: 203 [here transferred to the subgenus Neocanthidium ]. Type locality: Brazil: Goiás: Mineiros and Jataí, and Minas Gerais: Uberaba (“ Brésil, Goyaz: Jatahy, Mineiro; Minas Geraes: Uberaba”). Type material: Unknown number of syntypes ( MNHN). Distribution: Brazil (Martínez & Halffter 1986a; these authors cited the distribution of this species as “ Brasil: Pará ”, which does not agree with the type locality cited by Boucomont (1928b) nor with any other published information).
