Type Locality: Australia, Western Australia, Moore River.
Vernacular Names: Big-eared Hopping Mouse.
Synonyms: Notomys megalotis Iredale and Troughton 1934 .
Distribution: Known only from the type locality ( Dixon, 1995 d:578).
Conservation: IUCN – Extinct.
Discussion: Represented only by the holotype and paratype from " Australia " (Mahoney, 1975). Apparently extinct. Closest phylogenetic relative is probably Notomys cervinus (Mahoney, 1975) . Reviewed by Watts and Aslin (1981) and Dixon (1995 d).
