Pentaria Mulsant 1856: 391 . Type species: Pentaria sericaria Mulsant, 1856 [junior subjective synonym of Pentaria badia (Rosenhauer, 1847) ], by original monotypy.

Anthobatula Strand 1929: 29 . Replacement name for Anthobates LeConte, 1850 [nec Anthobates Gistel, 1848 ( Coleoptera : Curculionidae ; junior synonym of Chalcodermus Dejean, 1835 )].

Nipponanaspis (Konaspis) Chûjô 1957: 12 . Type species: Anthobates elongata Kôno, 1929 , by original designation. Synonymized with Pentaria Mulsant by Hatayama (1985: 398); incorrectly appeared in synonymy of Ectasiocnemis Franciscolo in Leblanc et al. (2008: 465) and Iwan and Kubisz (2020: 640).
