Type:— BRAZIL. Pará: s. loc., s.d., G. Barker s.n. ( lectotype, designated here: K-L s.n.!).
Notes: — Lindley (1841) described N. aromatica , a species native to the state of Pará in Brazil obtained by Baker without designating a holotype or informing where it was deposited. A sample was located in his collection in the K herbarium with characteristics corresponding to the information described in the protologue, which is designated here as a lectotype.
