Genus Cleapa Walker, 1855: 981, 1036 View in CoL
TS: Cleapa latifascia Walker, 1855 View in CoL
The genus Cleapa was established by Francis Walker in 1855 from the type species Cleapa latifascia Walker, 1855 . The genus is characterized by moderately pectinated antennae which is rather longer than thorax; broad wings; forewings almost straight in front, hardly angular at tips, very slightly oblique along the exterior border, interior angle rounded ( Walker 1855). Cleapa is globally represented by only two species C. latifascia Walker, 1855 (NW India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, SW China, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan) and C. cleapa Schintlmeister, 2007 ( Thailand) . The present study describes Cleapa ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov. the third species of this genus.
