Etymology. The specific name is a patronym after Guo Zheng, collector of several specimens examined in this study; name in genitive case.
Diagnosis. Clubiona zhengi sp. nov. can be easily distinguished from all known congeners by the combination of the following characters: male palpal tibial with two apophyses ( Fig. 11B View FIGURE 11 ); retrolateral tibial apophysis laminar broad, flat and with a straight apical margin ( Fig. 11B View FIGURE 11 ); ventral tibial apophysis finger-shaped, elevated from a pit ( Fig. 11B View FIGURE 11 ); female epigynal plate with an atrium ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 A–B).
Description. Male (holotype): Total length 2.84; prosoma 1.14 long, 0.71 wide; opisthosoma 1.65 long, 0.83 wide. Prosoma ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 E–F), ovoid in dorsal view, ocular region slightly narrowed, widest between coxae II and III; in profile slightly higher just behind ocular area, gradually sloping posteriorly; integument smooth, clothed with numerous short fine hairs. Carapace yellowish, without distinct color pattern; longitudinal fovea reddish. Chelicerae protruding and light brown, with four promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. Labium and endites orange, longer than wide. Sternum orange-yellow. Eyes: AER slightly recurved, PER wider than AER and slightly procurved in dorsal view. Palp ( Figs 11 View FIGURE 11 A–E): tibia short, with two apophyses, VTA finger-like, elevated from a pit, base fused with base of RTA; RTA large and lamina-shaped, with a straight tip; genital bulb elongated, with a relatively flat tegulum, sperm duct distinctive, V-shaped; tegular hump indistinct; embolus inserted prolaterally (approximately nine o’clock relative of tegulum), aligned clockwise along the tegular distal margin, apex approximately at six o’clock position relative of tegulum.
Female (paratype IZCAS Ar 34590): Total length 3.08; prosoma 1.29 long, 0.83 wide; opisthosoma 1.86 long, 0.73 wide.
