COMMON NAME(S): The lantana moth or lantana control moth.

SYNONYM(S): Nipista lineata Walker, 1858a

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Endemic to Florida and Texas in the United States of America, but has been introduced in Australia, Fiji, Ghana, Hawaii, Mauritius, Micronesia, St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): The known larval foodplant is, Lantana camara L. Unknown.
