Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Chilanga, Kafue and Lusaka, in Lusaka Province; Kabwe, in Central Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larvae of the taxon feed on scale insects (Super family Coccoidea ) including Ceroplastes a wax scale insect in the family Coccidae and Coccus hesperidium Linnaeus, 1758 , a soft scale insect in the same family, Coccidae .
