COMMON NAME (S): Hampson’s Veined Tiger.
SYNONYM(S): None.
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kapiri Mposhi and Mumbwa, in Central Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants include a yet to be identified Solanaceae species i.e. Nicotiana sp. ( Pinhey 1975) . J usticia sp. ( Acanthaceae ), Commelina sp. (Commelinaceae) , Aster sp. (Asteraceae) , Bidens sp. (Asteraceae) , Zinnia sp. (Asteraceae) and Nicotiana tabacum L. [cultivated tobacco] ( Solanaceae ) are all larval foodplants of the taxon ( African Moths 2019).
