COMMON NAME (S): Betton’s Prominent.
SYNONYM(S): Prionocentrum oneili Janse, 1920 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: East Luangwa district , in Eastern Province ; Kafue, in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): One Fabaceae species ( Julbernardia globiflora (Benth.) Troupin ) and another but unidentified Fabaceae species ( Brachystegia sp. ) are reported as host plants of this taxon ( Pinhey 1975).
