COMMON NAME (S): Burnet moth, Forester moth or Smoky moth.
SYNONYM(S): Zygaena holoxanthina Mabille, 1892c , Neurosymploca procrioides Butler, 1893 , Epizygaena xanthosoma Jordan, 1907 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Mansa, in Luapula Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants include a Celastraceae species ( Maytenus ovata ) in Ethiopia. No host plants for the taxon have been reported in Zambia.
