Material examined. Malaysia: Perak, Batang Padang, Jor Camp , elev. 610 m, 3.vi.1923, coll. H.M. Pendlebury— 1 male (holotype) (London BMNH) .
Diagnosis. Z. (Z.) separata is characterized by its slender appearance with the wings distinctly surpassing the middle of stretched hind tibiae ( Fig. 92H View FIGURE 92 ) and especially by the rather narrow oval head ( Fig. 92J View FIGURE 92 ). The male ninth abdominal tergite is elongate and gradually curved towards both sides and posteriorly. Its apical margin is provided with a pair of curved projections that encircle a hole through which a pair of short obtuse projections from tenth tergite are visible ( Fig. 93K View FIGURE 93 ).
Measurements after Karny (1926a) (1 male).—body w/o wings: 19.5; pronotum: 3.5; tegmen: 24; tegmen width: 6.4; hind femur: 12 mm.
