Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Yemen (including Socotra Archipelago) ( Kirby 1900, 1903 as Icaria aterrima ; Kohl 1906 as Odynerus (Leptochilus) melanochrous Kohl, 1906 and as Labus aterrimus ; Bequaert, 1918 as I. aterrima and as O. (L.) melanochrous ; Giordani Soika 1974 as O. melanochrous and as Leptochilus aterrimus ).
