Genus Eupelates Portevin View in CoL
Eupelates Portevin, 1907: 73 View in CoL ; Jeannel, 1936: 112 (redescription). Type species: Choleva transversestrigosa Fairmaire & Germain View in CoL (monotypy).
Distribution: Southern Chile, southwestern Argentina.
Biology: Mainly in leaf litter in various kinds of forests including Pinus plantations.
