? Holotype male [Note: We interpreted that the male Jeannel illustrated in figures is the holotype; he mentions 1 male and 3 females] in MNNC [probably, considering the collector and other types described in the same work].

Type locality: Cerros de San Pedro, 42º20’ S, 750 m, Isla de Chiloé, [Chiloé Province], Chile.

Distribution: Chile: Chiloé Province : known only to type locality.

N. k. edeniensis Jeannel, 1962: 499.? Holotype male [Note: We interpreted that the male Jeannel illustrated in figures is the holotype; he mentions 1 male and 2 females] in MNNC [probably, considering the collector and other types described in the same work]. Type locality: Puerto Edén , 49º09’ S, Isla Wellington , Magallanes [now Última Esperanza] Province , Chile. Distribution: Chile: Última Esperanza Province: known only to type locality.

N. k. kuscheli Jeannel, 1957: 61, 1958: 10, 1962: 498; Salgado, 1992b: 178, 2006: 100.? Holotype male [Note: We interpreted that the male Jeannel illustrated in figures is the holotype; he mentions 27 specimens, sex not given] in MEUC [MNNC, in Jeannel, 1962]. Type locality: Frutillar, 41º08’ S, W of Lago Lanquihue, Llanquihue Province, Chile. Distribution: Argentina: Neuquén Province; Chile: Aisén, Arauco, Biobío, Cautín, Chiloé, Llanquihue, Malleco, Osorno (AFN, personal data), Palena (AFN, personal data), and Valdivia Provinces. Larvae: Jeannel, 1957: 62. Note: Records in Salgado (2006) assumed to be related to the nominal subspecies; he did not mention subspecies and referred to the taxon as N. kuscheli. Argentina records based on specimens in AMNH identified by AFN.
