Genus Capnosolius Seago & Newton
Capnosolius Seago & Newton, 2009: 298 . Type species: Capnosolius ariasae Seago & Newton (orig. des.).
Distribution: Southern Chile.
Biology: Probably feeding on finely particulate matter such as fungal hyphae and spores or decaying plant matter. All specimens were taken by insecticide fogging of the canopy of forest treees.
C. ariasae Seago & Newton, 2009: 300 . Holotype male in MNNC. Type locality: Oncol Park, Bonifacio Way, Valdivia Province [as “ X Region ” in original description], Chile. Distribution: Chile: Valdivia Province.
