Capnosolius Seago & Newton, 2009: 298 View in CoL . Type species: Capnosolius ariasae Seago & Newton View in CoL (orig. des.).

Distribution: Southern Chile.

Biology: Probably feeding on finely particulate matter such as fungal hyphae and spores or decaying plant matter. All specimens were taken by insecticide fogging of the canopy of forest treees.

C. ariasae Seago & Newton, 2009: 300 View in CoL . Holotype male in MNNC. Type locality: Oncol Park, Bonifacio Way, Valdivia Province [as “ X Region ” in original description], Chile. Distribution: Chile: Valdivia Province.
