Type locality: Univ. Biol. Sta., 500’, 8 mi NNW Sontecomapan, Veracruz State, Mexico.

Distribution: Belize: Cayo District; Costa Rica: Cartago, Guanacaste, Heredia, Limón, and Puntarenas Provinces; Guatemala: Izabal Department; Honduras: Atlántida Department; Mexico: Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Veracruz States; Panama: Coclé Province.
