Holotype male in CMNC.

Type locality: Cerro Monserrat, 1800 m, 7 km SW Yuscarán, El Paraíso Department, Honduras.

Distribution: Costa Rica: Cartago Province; Guatemala: Alta Verapaz and Baja Verapaz Departments; Honduras: El Paraíso, Francisco Morazán, and Olancho Departments.

Note: This species was misidentified as Colon clavatum Mannerheim [1853] in Matthews, 1888: 101, which is a junior synonym of Colon bidentatum (Sahlberg) [1822] ( Peck & Stephan, 1996: 699; Peck & Cook, 2019: 83, Matthews´ specimen examined), from Alta Verapaz Department, Guatemala.
