Holotype [a single specimen in original description, assumed as holotype; sex and depository not given] female in BMNH [in Miller & Wheeler, 2005a].

Type locality: Totonicapán, 10500 ft., [Totonicapán Department], Guatemala.

Distribution: Costa Rica: Alajuela and Puntarenas Provinces; Guatemala: Baja Verapaz and Totonicapán Departments; Honduras: Atlántida Department (new record, CMNC; SBP, personal data), Cortez, and Olancho Departments; Mexico: Chiapas, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz States; Nicaragua: Matagalpa and Río San Juan Departments (new record, CMNC; SBP, personal data); Panama: Chiriquí Province.
