Holotype [a single male specimen in original description, assumed as holotype; depository not given] male in BMNH [as in Peck et al., 1998a: 48, assumed to be together with remaining types of Matthews].

Type locality: Totonicapán, 10500 ft ,, [Totonicapán Department], Guatemala.

Distribution: Guatemala: Totonicapán Department: known only from type locality.
