Cyrtusa Erichson, 1842: 221 View in CoL . Type species: Anisotoma subtestaceum Gyllenhal (des. in Thomson, 1859: 58, not stated as taxonomic change; four original species).

= Caenocyrta Brown, 1937: 172; Daffner, 1989: 292 syn. Type species: Amphicyllis picipennis LeConte View in CoL (= Anisotoma subtestaceum Gyllenhal [1813] ) (orig. des.).

Note 1: Partially revised, restricted in Daffner, 1982, 1983, 1989.

Note 2: The following Neotropical species have not been recently revised and generic assignment to Cyrtusa requires confirmation.

Distribution: 12 species—Holarctic, India, Neotropical (current species and distribution uncertain).

Biology: Unknown; probably fungus feeder in litter in forests.
