Syntypes (3 specimens, “probably including both sexes”, in original description; introduction states depository as USNM and occasional cotypes in BMNH) in BMNH [as in Peck et al., 1998a: 50].

Type locality (two records in original description): Jalapa, [Veracruz State], Mexico [more than one specimens from this locality, based on the phrase “One of the Jalapa examples was labeled…” in original description] and Cerro Zunil, [Quetzaltenango Department], Guatemala [ Hatch, 1929b: 82 mentions only Mexico; only “Jalapa, Veracruz, Mexico ” figures as type locality in Peck et al., 1998a: 50].

Distribution: Guatemala: Quetzaltenango Department; Mexico: Veracruz State .
