Lectotype male (designated in Wheeler, 1979b [a single syntype specimen available at the collection]) in BMNH.

Type locality (lectotype): Puebla, [Puebla State], Mexico. [Note: A second record in original description: Volcan de Chiriquí, [Chiriquí Province], Panama; but Hatch, 1929b: 58 cited only Mexico].

Distribution: Mexico: Puebla State; Panama: Chiriquí Province.
