Holotype [a single specimen in original description, assumed as holotype; sex and depository not given] male in BMNH [in Peck & Cook, 2019].

Type locality: Capetillo, [Sacatepéquez Department, according to Selander & Vaurie, 1962], Guatemala.

Distribution: Costa Rica: Cartago, Puntarenas, and San José Provinces; Guatemala: Baja Verapaz, Guatemala, and Sacatepéquez Departments; Honduras: Francisco Morazán and Ocotepeque Departments; Mexico: Chiapas, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz States; Panama: Chiriquí Province.
