= Loxorhabdus Hlisnikovský, 1964c: 323 View in CoL (as Loxorhadbus); Newton, 1998: 91, 169 syn. Type species: Loxorhabdus argentinicus Hlisnikovský View in CoL (orig. des.).

Distribution: Southern Chile, southwestern Argentina. Note: One additional undescribed species is known from Chile ( Newton, 1998: 91).

Biology: Scavengers found on carrion, dung, various fungi and in leaf litter of forests.
