Material examined. HOLOTYPE ♂, INDIA: Himachal Pradesh: Pear, Mashobra, 1.v.74, Bandhu, Pres Comm. Inst. Ent., B.M. 1975-1, Tasnimocerus clypeatus gen. et sp. nov. det. M.S.K. Ghauri 1975 ( BMNH). Other material. INDIA: Himachal Pradesh: 1 ♀, Simla, Taradevi, 14.iii.1986, A.S. Sohi Coll. ( UASB).
Remarks. Ghauri (1975) adequately described and figured this species. Here the female of the speies is diagnosed and figured for the first time. The female is very similar to the mle externally. T. clypeatus and T. sindhensis closely resemble each other but differ in the structure of male genitalia and also female sternite VII as given in the key.
