Keralus webbi (Viraktamath) comb. nov.

Idioscopus webbi Viraktamath 1979b: 174–176 , figs 6–14.

Diagnosis. Externally resembling species of Amritodus as it has one pronotal spot on either side of median line anteriorly. Male pygofer with ventral process, style with subapical short process and aedeagus with two pairs of subapical processes on shaft, one short pair arising on dorsolateral surface and second longer pair on ventrolatral surface; dorsal apodeme well-developed, preatrium short. Other characters as in generic diagnosis.

Remarks. Viraktamath (1979b) adequately described the species based on specimens collected from Maraiyur (Kerala, India). Now it is known to occur in the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu also.
