REMARKS. Marshall et al. (2018) recently reassigned the genus to Fidicinini from the Cryptotympanini and Sanborn (2019b) assigned it to the Guyalnina . Members of the genus can be recognized by the triangular head being much wider than the mesonotum, coloration at wing bases, and continuous posterior tapering of body from mesonotum to abdominal terminus.
DISTRIBUTION. Species of the genus has been reported from Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, and Peru ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2011a; 2013; 2019b; Maccagnan & Sanborn 2015).
