Figs 1, 4, 7, 14–27.

Male 4.8–5.7mm long, 1.8–2.0mm wide across eyes and 2.3–2.5mm wide across hind margin of pronotum. Female 5.9–6.0mm long, 2.0mm wide across eyes and 2.5mm wide across hind margin of pronotum. Proportion of width of head including eyes to hind margin of pronotum is 0.78–0.8.

Forewing with base of clavus and appendix piceous. Hind femur piceous.

Male genitalia: Pygofer caudal margin with small lobe ventrally directed medially and covered with spicules; caudo-dorsal margin convex, with many macrosetae on caudal half. Subgenital plates short, triangular, tapered to apex, with several hair-like setae on lateral margins and many short setae at apex. Style elongate, basal arm produced anteriorly, apophysis tapered to acutely pointed apex, bent at obtuse angle at distal 0.35. Aedeagus with well developed dorsal apodeme, preatrium short, rounded, lobe-like; shaft in lateral view widest at midlength, then tapered to apex, curved dorsally, with spicules preapically.

Female genitalia: Seventh sternite twice as long as sixth, hind margin slight roundly concave.

Remarks. This species can be easily recognized by the piceous base of the clavus and appendix of the forewing, the triangular subgenital plates, the more acutely pointed apophysis of the style, the apex of the aedeagal shaft and the presence of a small lobe on the caudal margin of the male pygofer.

Etymology. The species is named for the small ventral lobe of the male pygofer.
