Lectotype (Jacobs in Blumea 12: 489. 1965): Herb. Linn. No. 664.4 ( LINN) .

Current name: Capparis sepiaria L. ( Capparaceae ).

Note: Elffers & al. (in Hubbard & Milne-Redhead, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Capparidacear. 63. 1964) indicated a König collection (664.5 LINN) as the holotype but this material did not reach Linnaeus until after 1759 and so it is not original material for the name.
