General distribution. Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece ( Andersen 1995, Protić 1998, Gogala 2003, Protić & Živić 2007).
Comment. The previous records of V. filippii from Anatolia ( Hoberlandt 1952a, Önder et al. 2006, Kıyak et al. 2008) belong to the Asian subspecies V. affinis affinis , partly due to nomenclatorial confusion because V. a. affinis was also described under the name V. filippii anatolica Tamanini, 1951 .
