Debus pseudocylindricus (Eggers) comb. n.
Xyleborus pseudocylindricus Eggers (1927b) View in CoL
Specimens examined. Indonesia, Sumatra, (holotype, USNM); Malaysia, Sabah, Danum Valley (18, Hulcr det., MSUC).
Comments. D. pseudocylindricus possesses all the diagnostic features of Debus , including antennal club form, elongated pronotum, and emarginate declivity. Its placement in Debus was confirmed by molecular phylogenetic analysis (72% and 74% posterior probability, Cognato et al., 2011). Morphologically, the species is intermediate between D. pumilus and D. fallax in terms of declivital armature and body proportions.
