Distribution. Cameroon ( Park 2018; De Prins & De Prins 2019), Gabon ( Park 2018), Kenya ( Park & De Prins 2019b), South Africa ( Janse 1954), DR Congo (new record), Tanzania (new record), Uganda (new record).

Remarks. S ince Gozmány synonymized H. lophophora with H. cholopis (Meyrick) , the identification of H. lophophora has been confused by recent authors, including Park (2018). Recently Park & De Prins (2019b) re-examined both species, comparing their male & female genitalia, and re-established H. lophophora as a valid species which is supported by COI barcode sequences ( Fig. 3 ).
