Urotergite 5 rounded at apex; urosternite 5 truncate and spinose on its apical angles.
Measurements (mm), female. Total length, 7.0; prothorax length, 1.0; prothorax width, 1.9; elytral length, 5.0; humeral width, 2.0.
Specimens examined. FRENCH GUIANA, Route de Kaw, pk 33, 1 female, 1.II.1984 (G. Tavakilian leg.) (MNRJ).
Remarks. Gilmour (1965) included Lepturges flaviceps Bates, 1863 in his genus Lepturgotrichona Gilmour 1957 , which has as type-species Lepturges stigmaticus Bates, 1881 . However, these species are not congeneric, because Lepturgotrichona stigmatica has short stout femora, scape not dilated towards the apex, and rounded elytral apices. Bates (1863) described the female from Pará, Brazil, and recently Morvan & Morati (2006) mentioned the speies from French Guiana.
