It was recorded in the states of Ceará, Sergipe, and Bahia in Caatinga. The maximum recorded altitude was 188 m (Guedes et al. 2011). It is also found in the Atlantic Forest and Amazonia ( Marques et al. 2001; Guedes et al. 2011). Inside Caatinga, it occurs in contact areas with adjacent forested areas, with a single record in semi-arid caatinga in Fortaleza (Ceará State). It occurs in arboreal caatinga and forested areas (Guedes et al. 2011). It has semi-arboreal habits, is nocturnal, and feeds on lizards ( Marques et al. 2001).
