Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Modarres Awal 1996b, 1997b), Fars ( Hoberlandt 1959, 1989; Kiritshenko 1966), Golestan ( Hoberlandt 1989), Guilan ( Hosseini & Linnavuori 2002; Linnavuori 2007), Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b, 2008; Linnavuori 2007), Mazandaran ( Wagner 1968; Hoberlandt 1989), Tehran ( Hoberlandt 1989), Zanjan ( Linnavuori 2007).

General distribution. Central Europe, Ukraine, Mediterranean basin, Near East, Transcaucasia. Comments. On Poaceae ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b), Asteraceae , and Chenopodiaceae ( Linnavuori 2007) . Also, out of Iran was recorded on Anacardiaceae , Apiaceae , Fagaceae ( Moulet 1995) .

Note. Centrocoris bampurensis Kiritshenko was based on a specimen that R. Linnavuori got from Kiritshenko, collected by him and marked with a label topotypus but never decribed or published; so it is a nomen nudum. Linnavuori (1968) only briefly described and illustrated it. As a result, several authors have ignored this name (e.g., Moulet 1995) or erroneously attributed it to R. Linnavuori (i.e., Tshernova 1979; Dolling 2006).
