Vernacular Names: Sandhill Dunnart.
Distribution: Australia: SW Northern Territory (vicinity of Ayers Rock) and Eyre Peninsula (South Australia).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Endangered.
Discussion: S. psammophila species-group. Known only from five specimens; see Archer (1981:215).
