Basionym:― Salsola omaruruensis Botsch. View in CoL in Botanicheskii Zhurnal 68(9): 1248 (1983).

Type:― SOUTH-WEST AFRICA [ NAMIBIA]. auf kleinen Dünen auf dem Südufer des Omaruru, etwa 6 km von der Küste landwärts in einem mehr oder weiger breitem Streifen dem Omaruru im flächige Gelände bis auf etwa 29 km begleitend, 4 December 1967, Giess 10457 ( holotype M-0107415! ; isotype WIND!) .

Distribution: ―Namibia: Namib Desert, Hentiesbaai, Omaruru River.
