Syntypes: ANSP 2260–2264 About ANSP .

Type locality: “Magdalene River, New Grenada” (= Colombia).

Distribution: Regions 2, 3, 6. From Panama in Central America through northern Colombia, Venezuela, and Guyana to northern Brazil, plus Margarita Island and the Netherlands Antilles ( Curaçao, Aruba, and Bonaire). In Venezuela, widespread in lowlands north of Orinoco River, northern Amazonas State, and eastern Bolívar State south of Orinoco.
