Type locality: Eastern sector of the Auyan-tepui summit, Bolívar State, Venezuela (5°53’36”N, 62°29’12”W), 1,750 m GoogleMaps .
Distribution: Region 5. Endemic to Auyan-tepui in Bolívar State.
Remarks: A very rare species described from only two specimens (Señaris 1995). Despite numerous expeditions to the type locality, only five additional specimens have been collected (in 1974) and deposited in the BMNH ( Myers and Donnelly 2008).
