Neofilchneria Zwick, 1973 View in CoL
Neofilchneria Zwick, 1973 View in CoL . Das Tierreich 94: 235 (original description); Zwick & Sivec, 1980. Entomol. Basil. 5: 113 (description of old and new species); Chen & Du, 2018. Zootaxa 4375 (1): 64 (generic checklist and key of China). Type species. Neofilchneria uncata ( Kimmins, 1947) View in CoL .
Remarks. Males of Neofilchneria are characterized by the presence of well-developed submental gills, the finger-shaped hemitergal lobes, the median cleft of hemiterga parallel with two sclerotized bands, and by the stalked epiproct supported by a curved or hinged lever arm ( Chen & Du 2018; Zwick & Sivec 1980). Females of N. uncata and the new species described below have well-developed, apically notched subgenital plates, the female of N. erberi is still unknown.
Distribution. China (Tibet; Sichuan Province); Nepal (Bagmati Province; Annapurna Gebirge) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). The distribution of this genus was considered to be restricted to the eastern Himalayas ( Li & Murányi 2015). However, the new species described below is from Sichuan Province of southwestern China, extending the generic distribution much further eastwards from the Himalayas. Habitat elevation of the three species ranges from 1,990 to 4,359 m ( Kimmins 1947, Zwick & Sivec 1980). Available localities for N. uncata and N. erberi from Kimmins (1947) and Zwick & Sivec (1980) are as follows.
