Dolichopeza (Sinoropeza) furcellatusa sp. nov.

( Figs. 14–18 , 22, 35–38 )

Diagnosis. Antenna brown. Wing light brownish yellow, with cells c and sc obscure yellow, extreme out ends of cells r3 to m1 with macrotrichia. Lobes of tergite 9 small. Lobe of gonostylus short, basally with a long branch; posterior crest of clasper of gonostylus forked.

Description. Male. Body length 7.5 mm, wing 10.0 mm. Female. Body length 7.5 mm, wing 12.0 mm Head ( Figs. 15, 16 ). Rostrum blackish brown. Vertex brown, medially slightly swollen; occiput dark brown. Eyes black. Hairs on head brown. Antenna 4.5 mm long; scape brown, pedicel and flagellum dark brown, flagellum long and cylindrical, first flagellomere about twice as long as the second, terminal flagellomere very short. Hairs on antenna black. Labellum black; palpus blackish brown.

Thorax ( Fig. 17 ). General brown. Pronotum brown with middle portion light brown; mesonotal prescutum brown, with three yellowish brown longitudinal stripes; scutum brown; scutellum dark brown; mediotergite brown. Pleura nearly uniform brown. Coxae brown; trochanters brownish yellow; femora blackish brown, but basally yellowish brown; tibiae blackish brown; tarsi blackish brown. Hairs brown. Wing ( Fig. 22) light brownish yellow with cells c and sc obscure yellow. Stigma light brown. Sparse macrotrichia in extreme out ends of cells r3 to m1. Veins yellow. Halter with stem blackish, knob dark brown.

Abdomen. Ground color blackish brown. Tergites 1–8 obscure yellow with posterior margin yellowish brown and lateral margin blackish brown, tergite 8 with dense long brush like hairs at posterior margin. Venter dark brown.

Hypopygium ( Fig. 35 ). Tergite 9 and sternite 9 fused. Tergite 9 ( Fig. 36 ) black, posterior margin with two short lobes, laterally with short hairs; lower posterior margin medially with four small lobes, two lateral ones relatively broad, dorsal one of middle pair broad, pointed dorsally, with tip blackened, ventral one as long as the others. Lobe of gonostylus ( Fig. 37 ) slender and short, basally with a long branch, bearing long hairs; clasper of gonostylus ( Fig. 38 ) broad, beak obtuse, with tip emarginated and greatly constricted near tip, posterior crest forked, basal beak thick and pointed, bent upwards.

Female. Similar with male, but darker than male. Ovipositor ( Fig. 18 ) small, black. Cercus short, fleshy, beneath with a broad lobe; hypogynial valve as long as cercus, golden yellow.

Type material. Holotype male, Guizhou: Libo, Maolan, Banzhai (N 25°14ʹ, E 107°02ʹ, 490 m), 2010. V. 28, Yan Li. Paratype 1 female, same data as holotype.

Distribution. China (Guizhou).

Remarks. This species is very different from any other species of the subgenus, but slightly closer to D. (S.) postica Brunetti, 1912 , from which it can be separated by presence of macrotrichia on the extreme out ends of cells r3 to m1 of the wing and forked posterior crest of the clasper of gonostylus. In D. (S.) postica , the cells of the wing are bare, with the macrotrichia only present along R and veins beyond the cord; posterior crest of the clasper of gonostylus is pointed ( Joseph 1975).

Etymology. Name of the new species refers to the forked posterior crest of the clasper of gonostylus.
