COMMENTS: Zimmer cited the AMNH number of the holotype in the original description and listed the specimens he examined. The following specimens are paratypes: Cerro Munchique , Coast Range west of Popayan, AMNH 110253–110255 About AMNH , 110257 About AMNH , 110259 About AMNH , 110260 About AMNH , 110262 About AMNH , 110265 About AMNH , four males, three females, one sex ?; Cocal, AMNH 110266 About AMNH , female ; Salento, AMNH 113036 About AMNH , male ; above Salento, AMNH 113035 About AMNH , female ; Retiro, AMNH 509056 About AMNH , sex ?; La Florida, AMNH 110263 About AMNH , 110264 About AMNH , male, female ; El Eden, AMNH 113037–113040 About AMNH , 113042 About AMNH , 113043 About AMNH , one male, five females ; La Sierra, AMNH 117377 About AMNH , 117378 About AMNH , male, female ; Santa Elena, AMNH 134400 About AMNH bis, 134409, 134410, 134413, 134415, 134416, 154506, three males, three females, one sex ?; Nóvita Trail, AMNH 113034 About AMNH , sex ?; Medellin, AMNH 509454 About AMNH , 509055 About AMNH , male, female ; Antioquia, AMNH 110810 About AMNH , sex? In three cases, the paratypes bear two AMNH numbers. They had been exchanged to the BIM and when, in November 1935, the BIM collection of birds was donated to AMNH, those specimens were renumbered. The three specimens, followed by their BIM and later AMNH nos. are: AMNH 110257 About AMNH (12948, 441237), AMNH 113040 About AMNH (12947, 441240), AMNH 113042 About AMNH (12946, 441239). The paratypes cited here vary slightly in number from those given by Zimmer, but all of them were in AMNH when annectens was described, all are labeled annectens by Zimmer, and all are from localities cited by him .
