Known from Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau ( Beier 1962), and Congo (Brazzaville) ( Ragge 1967).
Material examined. — Equatorial Guinea: Cabo San Juan— 1 male (lectotype of Mormotus pictipes Bolivar ) ( MNCN); Cameroon: 1898–1899, leg. L. Conradt— 1 male (syntype) ( MNCN).
